Discovery engagement

Decide what should change before you invest in implementing it.

The Operational Growth Assessment is a focused consulting engagement. OpSol investigates one important operational decision, identifies the constraint behind it, and recommends the most responsible next action.

Typical assessment timeframe

10 business days

This is the typical delivery window for the assessment itself—not for implementing the recommendation. It begins once the Assessment Brief is agreed and the required participants and evidence are available.

The engagement normally requires approximately 5–8 total client-team hours, including direct participation from the accountable leader.

What you receive

Clarity you can use—with or without OpSol.

  • An agreed primary outcome and decision boundary
  • A focused view of the current workflow and operating context
  • Evidence separating the constraint from its visible symptoms
  • Technology-neutral intervention options and trade-offs
  • A recommended path with risks, dependencies, and assumptions
  • A standalone Decision Pack and prioritised action roadmap

What you are buying

A confident decision—not a predetermined software project.

You are hiring OpSol to investigate the situation, evaluate the available interventions, and recommend what should happen next. You are not committing to implementation, and the assessment remains useful if another team carries out the recommendation.

What the assessment is—and is not.

The boundary protects decision quality, time, and effort for both sides.

The assessment is for...

  • Making one important decision. We investigate the evidence and provide a clear, standalone recommendation.
  • Getting an independent recommendation. You can act internally, use another provider, defer action, or ask OpSol about implementation.

It is not for...

  • Validating a predetermined software project. Custom development is recommended only when the evidence supports it.
  • Auditing or transforming the whole business. The engagement stays focused so its scope does not become vague or endless.

Good fit

The assessment is strongest when leadership feels a material constraint but lacks confidence about the intervention.

You should have an accountable leader, access to the people and evidence involved in the workflow, and a willingness to examine the request rather than defend a predetermined solution.
