How It Works
BlueOps Communications operates on an event-driven architecture where job lifecycle events automatically trigger configured communication actions. When a job is scheduled, the system sends a confirmation message to the customer via their preferred channel, SMS or email, with the appointment date, time window, and a link to manage the appointment. Twenty-four hours before the appointment, an automated reminder is sent with an option to confirm or reschedule. When the technician is dispatched, the customer receives an on-the-way notification with the technician's name, photo, and real-time ETA. Upon arrival, an arrival confirmation is sent. After job completion, the customer receives a summary with the option to provide feedback. Each of these touchpoints is fully configurable: you control the timing, the channel, the message content, and which job types trigger which messages. Two-way messaging is enabled on all outgoing SMS and email notifications. When a customer replies, the response appears in the job communication feed and triggers a notification to the assigned team member. This creates a natural conversation thread without requiring customers to log into a portal or call the office. For internal communications, BlueOps provides team channels organized by topic, location, or project. Dispatchers can message individual technicians or broadcast announcements to entire teams. File and photo sharing within channels keeps reference materials and job-related communications in context.
